Dukhan Bank digital banking redesign
Overview
Challenge
Dukhan Bank set out to create a new generation of digital banking and wanted a major leap forward in design.
The ambition wasn't just to refresh the existing interface. It was to establish a completely new visual direction - more contemporary, distinctive and intuitive, while still feeling unmistakably Dukhan Bank.
Approach
We started by defining a new visual language for the experience, rethinking everything from typography, colour and spacing to hierarchy, components and interaction patterns.
Rather than being constrained by the previous interface, we used the opportunity to create something genuinely new - while applying familiar UX patterns to make complex banking journeys easier to understand and use.
The new direction became a comprehensive design system that could be applied consistently across mobile and web.
Execution
The transformation went far beyond individual screens.
A completely new visual language
We created a new design system from the ground up, establishing the visual and interaction principles that would shape the entire digital banking experience.
Colour, typography, spacing, components, states, hierarchy and navigation were all reconsidered as part of one cohesive design language. Individual journeys were also reviewed and refined to improve clarity, usability and consistency.
Matching user expectations
We looked at what the best digital banking apps do well, and borrowed what worked. That kept complex flows familiar, even when the underlying screens changed.
One experience across mobile and web
The same design language extends across mobile and web, creating a consistent and recognisable Dukhan Bank experience across channels.
The web experience adapts those principles for larger screens and different navigation behaviours rather than simply reproducing the mobile interface.
Designed for clarity
We refined hierarchy, spacing and typography to help make information easier to scan and actions easier to identify.
Each screen follows consistent principles for grouping, emphasis and interaction, giving complex banking journeys greater clarity.
Designed as an efficient system
The new experience is supported by a comprehensive design system covering components, layouts, states and interaction patterns.
This provides Dukhan Bank with a consistent design foundation that can continue to evolve as new journeys and functionality are introduced.

Using clear shapes, spaces and typography we achieved faster scaning sessions, all logical groups were aranged by logical paterns and hierarchy.
